Meridian - Louis William "Bill" Odermott passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 2, 2022. Bill was born February 26, 1932 in Emmett, Idaho to Louis Odermott and Mary Elizabeth "Peggy" White. He is survived by his four children: Debra Lee (Dale) Sorensen of Oracie, AZ, Louis "Robert" (Candy) Odermott of Kennewick, WA, David "Lynn" Odermott of Rigby, ID and Trudy (Bob) Dodd of Spokane, WA. He left a fine legacy of 17 grandchildren & 35 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Dwight "Dee" Odermott of Emmett, Idaho and two sisters, Mary Alice Sappington of St. Augustine, Florida and Anna Louise Stinemetz of Caldwell, Idaho. Bill became a member of the Church while attending Meridian High School. In 1952 he married Doris Mae Fewkes of Cascade, Idaho in the Idaho Falls Temple. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was stationed in Iceland during the Korean War and was also at George Air Force Base. He graduated from Brigham Young University and later received a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho. Some of the jobs he held included: Public Office Director for the City of Jerome, Idaho. City Manager for Sunnyside, WA and asparagus farmer in Basin City, WA. He was loved by all and served his community as a go-to can-do man. Interment in the Boise, Idaho State Veterans Cemetery 14 January 2022.
